Asa Health Care Assistant, you will be part of our dedicated nursing environmentwith full support. Your role is to work within your team to assist nursingstaff in care delivery, one-to-one patient watches and other tasks as directed.
You could be assigned to ED, Paediatrics, Inpatients,Day Stay or any other department in the hospital.
Casual means that we contact you if we need to filla shift. You can say yes or no! Although there are no fixed hours of workassociated with casual employment, we are often able to give fixed times tocover planned leave.
The roles are onan as required basis, and you could be offered shifts on any of thefollowing shifts :

You will have the ability to get on with a widevariety of people, have great communication skills and love helping people.
Youwill have the ability to work in a flexible manner, demonstrating honesty andreliability. Good IT andorganisational skills are a bonus.
Weare open to applications from anyone who is interested in the healthsector. Priority may be given to peoplewith experience, but it is attitude and motivation that count.
We will providefull training to anyone with little / no experience.
Mandatoryrequirements
Aspart of this training position, you will be expected to study for your NZQALevel 3 and / or Level 4 : New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing -Health Assistance Strand, OR you may be studying nursing.
Forthe health and safety of staff and patients all NMH staff are required to bevaccinated in accordance with the COVID-19 Public Health Response(Vaccinations) Order 2021.
