    Mō tēnei tūranga About the roleYou will be supporting the Deputy Secretary Te Mahau Te Tai Whenua. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking for a chance to become an Executive Assistant supporting a Senior Māori leader who is passionate about professional development.

    As the Executive Assistant you will assist the Deputy Secretary to achieve goals by managing their communications / emails, diary, monitoring daily schedules, arranging travel arrangements, and keeping them informed of commitments by highlighting conflicts.

    The role will be suitable for someone with previous supporting experience and who is ideally fluent in te reo, a strong administrative background, and a willingness to learn and do the mahi.

    As the Executive Assistant to the Deputy Secretary Te Mahau Te Tai Whenua you will bring your keenness to learn, grow and develop your understanding and do the mahi to be successful in the role.

    You will have knowledge of Te Tiriti and a strong base in Matauranga Māori. Proficiency in te reo is highly desirable.You will also bring your high attention to detail, calmness under pressure and have the ability to anticipate the needs of the Deputy Secretary.

    You will have sound computer knowledge, experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel and Word, etc)andhave the ability to perform your duties with considerable confidentiality, initiative, and mature and independent judgment.
