We have an exciting and unique opportunity for a highly skilled investment management professional to join our Investment Management and Asset Performance (IMAP) team and head up our Stewardship and Governance function.

    Our Investment Management and Asset Performance Team is the kaitiaki of New Zealand's Public Service Investment System - ensuring it delivers value and intergenerational wellbeing for all New Zealanders through :

  • Enabling well-informed investment decisions
  • Ensuring the system is efficient, effective and sustainable
  • Enabling those with accountabilities across the system to perform their roles effectively.
  • In this newly created role, we're looking for an enthusiastic and talented individual to join us as the Head of IMAP's Stewardship and Governance function - a pivotal role within Investment Management in New Zealand.

    This role's purpose is to foster a coherent, effective, and sustainable Investment Management System in addition to intellectual leadership of capital policy within the Treasury.

    About You

    To succeed in this role, you will be naturally collaborative and bring exceptional inter-personal and relationship management skills .

    You'll have experience operating at a senior level and possess the ability to understanding different stakeholder's motivations and influence outcomes.

    You will be a highly experienced commercial, policy and system thinker with practical capital investment experience. Significant experience in providing advice to decision makers, preferably in a Government context (could be from an advisory background or public sector) is a core requirement.
