Want to be a part of our team?The MS Engineer (L4) is responsible for ensuring a managed service is provided to all clients, to ensure that their IT infrastructure and systems remain operational.

This is done through proactively managing, overseeing, monitoring, investigating and resolving escalated technical incidents and problems to ensure the restoration of these services to the clients.

The primary objective of this role is to proactively review all client requests or tickets and apply technical process knowledge to provide the clients with almost immediate resolution without breaching service level agreement (SLA).

The MS Engineer (L4) focuses on forth line support for escalated incidents and requests with a high level of complexity.

Ensures contracted Managed Services outcomes are delivered to the client. Radford reference : Performs IT functions such as design, analysis, evaluation, testing, debugging and implementation of applications programs supporting the company infrastructure business processes and operations and / or network-based (cloud) product systems.

Analyzes, installs, acquires, modifies and supports operating systems, database or utilities software. Plans, conducts and directs the analysis of business problems with automated systems solutions.

Analyzes, designs, acquires and implements projects for LAN and / or WAN systems. Plans, designs, acquires and implements telecommunications voice / wire systems.

At higher job levels, may contribute to the development, testing, evaluation or design of system or infrastructure architecture used throughout the IT solution set.

You'll be doing great things for our clients and helping them achieve their business ambitions. We are looking for a highly skilled Senior VMWare Data Center Virtualization Specialist to join our team in central Auckland.

This team is the 3rd line support for any issues related to the ESXi infrastructure This role requires you to : Provide 3rd level support and management for enterprise virtualization environment.

Be the subject matter expert responsible for the operation of all things VMWare related. Identify and improve the customer hypervisor environment.

This includes activities such as proactive monitoring, upgrades, and automation. Advise and assist the customer with queries, and complex projects that require storage technologies.

Use your technical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues within agreed SLA timeframes Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Perform well under pressure and changing project and BAU timeframes and priorities. Day to day operation and monitoring of backups to ensure that restores meet the agreed RPO and RTO.

Work in an Agile environment that is continually improving to deliver customer focused outcomes. This role will require you to be on-call and perform out of hours work.

To be the successful candidate you must have the following experience & skills. Have experience in the management and monitoring of large and complex ESXi environments, with multiple datacenters, hosts, and guests.

Experience with a wide variety of VMWare tools and networking infrastructure. Monitoring the environment with industry standard management and monitoring tools and platforms.

A knowledge of ITIL and Agile methodologies. Keep the hypervisor environment evergreen by performing upgrades and patches to keep the environment within n-1 version compliance.

Experience with Microsoft technologies such as Active Directory, DNS, IIS etc would be advantageous. Networking skills would be an asset Be ambitious, a team player and always willing to go the extra mile.

What will make you a good fit for the role? Technical Requirements Expertise in administering and troubleshooting ESXi version 6.

7 and up. Familiar with the storage and multipath configuration requirements. Familiarity with the following ESXi tools : VCenter VRealize Operations Orchestrator SRM Migrations vVols Familiar with monitoring products such as Nagios, Splunk and SCOM would be advantageous.

Understanding and knowledge of physical storage management would be advantageous. Some of the qualifications listed below would be advantageous VMWare VCP-DCV certified Cisco CCNA Any other applicable networking or vendor certifications advantageous You will join a dedicated client support team of 30.
