ASB's Assurance & Advisory (A&A) team provide independent and objective assurance to Executive level and Board that the business is effectively managing its risks through the identification of risk and control issues and reliable solutions.

The team assists ASB to achieve its objectives through a systematic and disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management and the framework of controls and governance processes, ultimately keeping the bank safe for our customers.

Your roleIn this role, you will be responsible helping understand business context, identify audit needs, design and deliver tailored assurance to ASB's Technology & Operations teams.

You will also assist with the delivery of certain aspects of research and analysis and focusing on developing A&A's people, processes and technology.

This role will give you the opportunity to display your comprehensive technology or audit experience in assessing the risk and control environment, helping to inform business design, and ultimately, providing insight and delivering thought leadership.

You will be part of our A&A team based at North Wharf, but will work closely with our Technology & Operations team in Albany.

To meet the challenges of this role, you will need to have : Expertise in audit and / or technology / cybersecurity risk management.

  • Proven experience in, or a demonstrated desire to learn technology risk including : - IT General Controls - sound understanding of how differently levels of maturity impacts the quality and reliability of infrastructure;
  • Information security, including cyber security;Auditing IT processes including risk management and governance against industry standards (e.

  • g. Cobit, ITIL or NIST);Application controls (including effective use of analytics to test controls);Data quality management processes;
  • Project management and change processes.Stakeholder management skills and ability to provide advisory services to technology partnersDemonstrated judgement, planning and organisational skillsA relevant qualification (e.

    g. CA, CIA, CISA, CISSP, and CISM) is preferable, but assistance to gain a technology risk qualification will be provided to the right candidate.
