Dunedin is experiencing the biggest growth in its economy in a decade, and at the heart of this is a construction boom, with large projects by the university already under way, and more in the pipeline such as the new Dunedin Hospital.

In addition, our heritage buildings are being revitalised, commercial buildings are being upgraded, earthquake strengthening projects are underway, and new dwellings are on the rise.

Be part of this exciting future by joining our Building Services team as a Senior Officer. This is a newly established multi-

faceted technical role which is likely to morph over time. The role will therefore suit someone receptive to change and can work in an environment of ambiguity.

  • undertake back up processing of building consents / inspections.

If you have experience in this field of work, and are looking for a new challenge, then this is your chance to be part of a motivated and supportive team, while earning a competitive salary.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have many of the following :

  • An appropriate NZQA L6 qualification as per regulation 18 of the Building (Accreditation of Building Consent Authorities) Regulations 2006.
  • A minimum of 5 - 6 years' trade experience, which would ideally include residential and commercial projects

  • People leadership skills; being able to effectively lead, manage and motive teams and individuals

  • If you are ready for an exciting new challenge within the Building Services team, in one of the world's great small cities, then we look forward to hearing from you!
