WHAT WILLI BE DOING?
As a Commis Chef, you will utilise your creativeflair and passion for food to ensure high quality food production for hoteloutlets, which meets the Hilton standards.
You will work autonomously andmanage your time and workspace accordingly, in order to prepare the dailyrequired food for various culinary operations within the hotel.
Specifically, you will be responsiblefor performing the following tasks to the highest standards :
Prepare all mis-en-placefor all relevant menus
Assist in positiveoutcomes from guest queries in a timely and efficient manner
Ensure food stuffs are ofa good quality and stored correctly
Contribute to controllingcosts, improving gross profit margins, and other departmental and financialtargets
Assist other departmentswherever necessary and maintain good working relationships
Report maintenance, hygiene and hazard issues aswell as comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safetyand food safety legislation
