Lawyer, Public Law -Auckland, Wellington (Fixed Term) Put your legal skills and experience to work, helping New Zealanders to be safe, strong and independent We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced lawyer with high levels of integrity and professionalism to join our supportive and collegial team, in providing quality legal services for the Ministry of Social Development.

About the Role The Ministry of Social Development is involved in supporting New Zealanders through income and housing support, the wage subsidy and employment supports.

We are looking for a curious lawyer with an eye for detail, who wants to work in a novel area of law, and who would enjoy helping our internal clients to make great decisions.

Ideally, you have some public law experience or interest, and some corporate or commercial experience. All our lawyers also have the opportunity to assist across the areas undertaken by the broader legal team.

This is a 10 month fixed-term opportunity to cover a staff member on leave. You'll join an inclusive and fun environment where we celebrate achievements and prioritise development.
