Dispatch Coordinator Mitre 10 MEGA Glenfield

At Mitre 10 MEGA Glenfield we are looking for an exceptional Dispatcher who can hit the ground running whilst using your experience and knowledge to make the position your own.

About the position :

This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday, this position requires someone with exceptional communication and organisational skills, you will have the ability to stay calm under pressure, manage many moving parts, be able to think on your feet and find solutions to problems as they arise.

We are looking for someone who will fit in well with our current team and bring the right skills to ensure the success of this key area of our business.

What you will be doing :

  • Organising deliveries efficiently and effectively and ensure customers’ satisfaction at all times. Deliveries can vary from a small parcel delivered to a private household to full packs of timber and building materials delivered to a construction site throughout the wider Auckland Metropolitan area.
  • Work with the Team in store to ensure deliveries are picked and ready to be delivered on time.
  • Keep the team engaged and make sure that they deliver exceptional customer service
  • Checking orders as they are leaving the store to ensure accuracy.
  • Occasionally assisting customers with their requirements.
  • Key skills you will bring :

  • Great attention to detail and organisational skills to ensure deliveries are fully picked, well packed and delivered in a timely manner
  • Strong communication skills are a must, as well as logical thinking and great attention to safety rules and processes
  • Ability to juggle different priorities while maintaining a calm and professional approach and a high standard of customer service
  • A collaborative approach with the ability to make the team strive for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Some knowledge of timber and building products would be an advantage
  • Computer literacy and the ability to learn our systems quickly
  • A Full driver’s license is a must, while a current Forklift Licence is desirable.
