The role is also responsible for leading, managing and developing the Transport Optimisation Planner.Your purposeYou will work across both the operational and tactical planning horizons to provide key transport plans.
You will be responsible for presenting the plans to our transport partners as well as other key stakeholders within Fonterra, explaining both the risks and the assumptions in the plans.
Additionally, the role demands a focus on continuous improvement, scenario modelling and analysis to ensure greater value and process efficiency across each planning cycle.
Key integration with Tactical and Optimisation Planners is critical to ensure feasibility, integrity and value of the one-plan across Fonterra’s supply chain.
Key responsibilities include : Leading a stable, cost-optimised national transport planning process that defines the transport requirements in the 3-week to 18-month horizon and fulfil our customer promise (forecast accuracy, cost to serve)Managing key stakeholder relationships with our transport and Fonterra partnersManaging performance with our transport partners to ensure container forecast accuracy and efficient rail utilisationCollaborating with Logistics Network Planning Managers to ensure the transport lanes and capacities are correctly reflected in the planning modelsWhat you’ll bringCoincided with your effective and strong communication and influencing skills, you will have senior experience in data modelling, proven leadership skills and a strategic mindsetIn addition, you will also have : End-to-end Supply Chain experienceExperience working with large data sets, data reporting and analyticsStrong analytical, problem-solving and trouble-shooting skillsScenario planning and risk management skillsDiscoverwhat it’s like to be part of a team who love what they do and get to work withstakeholders who challenge and encourage them to do their best!
