Job Description

What we’re looking for

Due to Fulton Hogans growth in the region, we’re looking for an experienced and energetic Contract Manager to work with our Maintenance team to lead our operational teams and deliver the good work we’re known for.

The successful applicant will be a good communicator, and be able to form strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and the operational team.

You will have a strong understanding of the challenges confronting the construction industry and be able to contribute to the collaborative development of construction works across the region.

This is a great opportunity to build and lead a new team on a long term contract with a Blue Chip infrastructure services business in one of New Zealand’s great lifestyle locations.

What you’ll be doing

The primary responsibility of this role will be to manage the day to day running of our construction and operations team consisting of engineers, supervisors and field crews.

Duties include day to day management of the contract, including oversight of planning and programming, budget, safety, quality and environmental performance, reporting and client liaison.

What we need from you

  • Minimum 5 years experience working in construction and infrastructure.
  • Minimum 2 years in a contract management role or similar.
  • Diploma in civil engineering or equivalent is advantageous.
  • Experience in building and leading a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Passion for Health and Safety.
