The Role
A new and exciting opportunity has become available in our Data & Optimisation (D&O) team for a Senior Data Scientist. Our D&O team is part of Technology & Transformation, providing data and insights to deliver strategic initiatives.
In this role you will play a key role in delivering core data science & analytics assets and providing Business Intelligence and mentoring junior members of the team.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support analytics and data science activities within the Data and Optimisation team.
Provide validating metrics to support problem verification, sizing and benefit values.
Identify opportunities for process improvement by promoting and leveraging new data modelling and reporting techniques.
Utilise fit for purpose technical solutions, modelling, reporting, data mining and analytics to identify improvement opportunities and verify their potential benefits.
Lead and mentor analysts and provide design advice for projects and business teams on analytical solutioning including modelling, reporting, data mining and data science activities.
Development of small and medium databases, routine queries & other data extraction techniques to manage information.
Skills & Experience
5+ years’ experience in a similar role
Previous exposure to end-to-end data science solutions
Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to influence
Collaborative and flexible approach
Advanced coding skills
Proficient capability with : analytic techniques and processes, Domino, Python, R, SQL
