An excitingopportunity has arisen for somebody who has lived experience, from a consumerand / or family member perspective, with a mental health and / or addictionservice.
What you bringfrom a lived experienced focus is invaluable. It will enable you to connectwith others experiencing mental health and / or addiction challenges, buildrelationships with other consumers and / or family advisors or facilitators andbe informed and involved with national, regional and local developments andimprovements within the Mental Health and Addiction Services and make adifference for the people of South Canterbury.
The voice,skills and knowledge that you will bring to the leadership table will enable animproved partnership model to care delivery.
As the title indicates, you willbe a facilitator to enable meaningful and purposeful engagement from consumersand families, at all levels, that will keep them at the centre.
In doing so,people will be better informed, and stigma and discrimination will be reduced.
