The Recruitment and Talent team is part of the People and Culture (P&C) team serving and advising the organisation on human resources.
Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager you will provide leadership, development and coaching to a sizeable team of Talent Acquisition Consultants.
In your role you will be accountable for the oversight and overall day-to-day leadership of recruitment outcomes across a large variety of portfolios within the organisation.
The work includes campaigns and initiatives to effectively manage recruitment in a busy and agile environment.You will be collaborating with the wider People and Culture team as well as internal stakeholder groups across Auckland Council to ensure the team is able to leverage efficiencies and economies of scale.
You will be able to embrace your innovative streak and have significant influence on the future direction volume and operations recruitment alongside your peer ensuring that we provide cost effective, business appropriate delivery of crucial, confidential services.

He kōrero mōu : About youFor this role we are looking for someone with previous leadership and / or coaching experience and capability, ideally within a recruitment, human resources and / or confidential environment along with a strong understanding of the end-to-end recruitment process.
Additionally, an understanding of assessment centres and / or volume recruitment processes and online recruitment would be highly advantageous.
You’ll have exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills. An ability to build rapport with a wide range of people and an appreciation for working within a confidential environment is essential for this role.
An understanding of Te Ao Maori and Te Tiriti of Waitangi and its relevance today would be a distinct advantage for this position.
