    Material Handler

    Reports to : Supervisor, Logistics

    Position Location : Penrose, Auckland

    How you'll make an impact :

    We are looking for a Junior Material Handler, where you will be responsible for achieving the day-to-day activities of the receipting, picking and dispatch functions of all product types and supporting the Supervisor in implementing and maintaining warehouse controls and disciplines to ensure a smooth and effective operation.

    What will you do?

    Receive, receipt, store, pick and dispatch items in accordance with established processes and procedures.

    Ensure quality standards are achieved and maintained for all product and stock in Warehouse. Any quality issues identified need to be escalated to the Supervisor.

    Effectively use the inventory system to record stock activity and stock control. Complete stock takes as required.

    Ensure warehouse processes are communicated and followed by all stakeholders.

    Achieve required deadlines for customers in relation to inventory / product specifications and delivery.

    Trouble shoot warehouse and inventory issues with the assistance of others.

    Advise Supervisor on any inventory or warehouse problems.

    Adhere to EHS policies and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy workplace environment

    Adhere to PPI established culture and contribute ideas and practice continuous improvement in advancing quality and cost, and productivity gains.

    Perform other related duties as required and / or assigned to contribute to the efficient operation of the team and business

    Required to lift up to 20kg. May be required to stand for long periods of time while performing duties. Must be able to work safely with chemicals and hazardous materials and be able to work in cold environment (including freezers and chillers).

    Must be able to work overtime and be able to be flexible around hours of work.

    How will you get here?

    NCEA Level 1 Minimum

    Willingness to learn and ability to work as part of a focused and friendly team

    Ability to consistently and independently follow policies and procedures, instructions, and to meet schedules required.

    Actively engaged in workplace health & safety.

    Understanding of WMS System and the end to end flow of materials in the warehouse environment (preferred)

    Your ability to problem solve and learn quickly and be flexible

    Strong communication skills & able to collaborate and work with others
