Our client who is an industry leader in the design and installation of healthy building product solutions is looking for a Sales Engineer to join their team.
The successful applicant will be responsible for growing and developing new business by promoting product solutions to architects and building companies.
You would be reporting directly to the National Sales Manager and assist management in evaluating new innovative product solutions to grow this business segment.
Responsibilities : Provide technical expertise in the healthy building productsBuild on your existing network and build sustainable business relationshipsCreate opportunities to develop new business and customersMaintain a consistent call cycle across architects and building companiesBe proactive and follow up on all leadsCollaborate with the National Sales Manager and General Manager to develop sales targets and plansAccurate weekly and monthly sales forecastingMaintain an awareness of market trends and innovationsFocus on Healthy and Safety reductionSkills Required : You need to have at least 5 years of Business Development in a Technical Sales Background (HVAC would be preferred)At least 2 years relevant NZ work experienceExperience calling on Building / Construction and ArchitectsEngineering qualification or background preferred but not essentialProven success in securing RFP in the private and government channelsCommitment to a high standard of integrity and ethicsMust be an active listenerYou need to have strong hunting skills not just wanting to farm What you will bring : Above-average listening skillsSound Business Acumen and understanding of commercial business experienceStrong analytical skillsStrong technical knowledge of building and construction products and a sound understanding of the building codeCommitment to a high standard of integrity and ethicsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHigh level of sales and negotiations skills and experienceStrong analytical skillsWhat you will be valued for : Ownership Take responsibility and ownership for your own actions and area of responsibilityDealing with ambiguity Effectively cope with changeCustomer-focused Exceed the expectations of internal and external customersLearning Agility From both familiar and unfamiliar situationsCollaboration Working together across teams, through idea sharing and thinkingCreativity Embrace opportunities to challenge the norm.
