As a Principal Electronics Design Engineer, you will be the subject matter expert and technical lead for the Electron launch vehicle avionics systems.
You will be a vital member of the team, taking overall responsibility for development and technical architecture of electronic components used in the launch vehicle.
You will be the go-to person for technical expertise, and help guide the team of engineers with technical direction. You will have a track record of good engineering decision making, hands-
on electronic design experience, and the successful delivery of complex electronic projects. You will have experience in the high-
reliability and / or high-performance industries (e.g automotive, aerospace etc) and looking to take the next step in your career.
Key duties include;
Expertise in the overall architecture of low-voltage electronic components and subsystems for the Electron launch vehicle
Hands-on design of electronic products from concept through to manufacture, including analog and high-speed digital circuits
Assess and perform component selection for new technologies based on functionality, price, and technical risk
Provide technical leadership and mentorship for the team of engineers, providing direction for specific tasks and skills
Coordinate internal and external resources for the on-time delivery of complex projects, working across departments to ensure successful implementation
Provide a leadership role in anomaly resolutions, coordinating between teams, and providing high-level recommendations for managing technical risk
Deliver quality and reliability in the power electronics systems, and drive quality in the team
Your Experience & expertise;
Degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent qualification
10+ years€™ experience in a relevant design field
Demonstrated experience in solving complex technical problems and good engineering decision making
High proficiency with electronic design tools, including circuit simulation software
High proficiency with diagnostic tools and test equipment
Experience with analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit design, including embedded systems, FPGAs, sensors, data acquisition, and other electronic circuits
Strong troubleshooting skills and aptitude for mentoring junior engineers
