Your Role

We’re excited to have the opportunity to add a new person to our Education team in Dunedin. We are looking for an enthusiastic software engineer to join our Education group who can help us design, develop and maintain our cloud and desktop-based education products.

Our team of developers are collaborative and curious and love working on new, innovative changes to our platform. It’s a great time to join ADInstruments and contribute to a team of equally passionate people who love science, learning and creating a first-class product.

Skills and Experience

Our Product team uses an agile methodology, so you should feel comfortable working and contributing within a group context, sharing ideas, solving problems and working towards a common goal.

There will also be a good deal of cross-functional collaboration, where you'll be able to bounce ideas off each other and work out the best solution to create our world-renowned products.

Your previous experience, a desire to help, contribute to and grow your team, and drive to get things done will bring a new dimension and energy to the team.

We’re excited about you because you’ll bring :

  • A tertiary qualified in Computer Science or a related qualification
  • Experience developing web applications that implement a recognised JavaScript-based framework like React, TypeScript or similar
  • Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS
  • Familiarity with continuous integration / continuous delivery pipelines
  • Experience using JavaScript, HTML and CSS3
  • Confidence in expressing your opinions and a motivation to help people around you grow
  • A considerate, pragmatic and organised approach to your work
