How can you make your contribution to this? We are currently looking for our next grounds person to join the Grounds team! Within this role you will be responsible for preparing and maintaining the zoo grounds.

This includes maintaining the exterior surfaces of buildings, fixtures, signs and public areas and utilising equipment such as mowers, leaf blowers and edge trimmers.

A central part of the work also involves managing the collection of inorganic and organic waste. This role is an essential part of the overall success of the zoo providing the best environment for our visitors, staff and animals.

He kōrero mōu : About youAs a grounds person, you will demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and positively contribute to a team environment.

You will spend a majority of the day on your feet with medium to heavy lifting from time to time, so strong stamina and a good level of fitness is essential.

You will also possess : Previous experience maintaining groundsExperience using mowers, edge trimmers, and leaf blowersAn understanding of health and safety requirementsEnthusiasm with a 'can-

do' attitudeNZ Divers License (manual vehicle) requiredHT desirable, but not essential You will have good time management skills as well as the ability to meet your deadlines.
