The Nurse Educator ICCU is a key member the Intensive Care & Coronary Care team. As a Nurse Educator it is your role to coach and educate staff to their best potential resulting in improved experiences for our health consumers.
You will work alongside the ICCU team, in a clinical coach / mentoring capacity, leading and embedding evidence-based practice, developing education strategies, involving staff in identifying areas for development, and developing objectives and plans in order to help staff apply learnings to practice.
Shifts will be Monday to Friday AM (7AM - 3 : 30PM). This is a permanent 0.5FTE position working 40 hours a fortnight.
Ko wai he kaitono tōtika? (Who is an appropriate applicant?)
You will be an experienced, resilient and adaptable senior registered nurse with a current practicing certificate and extensive adult acute critical / coronary care nursing experience.
You will have excellent communication and engagement skills, and you will have demonstrated your ability to teach adults in both formal and informal setting.
You will have a current Expert portfolio and a Certificate in Adult Teaching Level 4, as well as Masters of Nursing level post graduate education, or working towards (essential).
