2020 was a big year for us at Te Kaunihera aa Takiwaa o Waikato (Waikato District Council), where although COVID created big challenges, it also created some opportunities for change that we have embraced.
We've welcomed a flexible workforce and reworked our office spaces to maximise this. We're opening up career pathways, showing our people how much we value them, and we give everyone their birthday's off! To make our changes successful we need great people. Are you one of them?
Who are we looking for
We're looking for someone who believes in doing the right thing, even if it is difficult. Someone who is prepared to act fairly and in a thorough, timely and transparent way.
We want someone who can represent us and be the face of Council when engaging with our customers and our community. We need someone who is confident but not arrogant and can filter through different opinions to reach a conclusion that is based on evidence.
We're looking for someone who has unquestionable personal integrity with well-honed communication skills.
If this sounds like you, and you have a can-do attitude and a desire to not spend all week bound to a desk - we're looking for you!
There are multiple roles to fill, based either in our Ngaruawahia or Tuakau offices.
