    The Whanganui District Health Board seeks an enthusiastic and talented Digital and Social Media person to join our futures thinking Engagement and Design team.

    The Digital and Social Media role is located within the Engagement and Design team and supports the team with a focus on developing, curating and monitoring our social media platforms as well as developing and maintaining our intra and internet systems on behalf of the Whanganui District Health Board.

    This will ensure that the story of the journey the Whanganui District Health Board is currently on is digitally produced, the story and strategy is told and presents information to both internal and external parties.

    As an expert in Digital platforms, you will support the delivery of the Whanganui District Health Board vision within the Whanganui, Rangitikei, Ruapehu and South Taranaki rohe.

    By being an extension into the digital communities for the Engagement and Design Team, this role will undertake many elements of social media and digital platform curation, maintenance and moderation.

    Preference will be given to candidates with additional skills such as coding, communications / marketing and media liaison work.

    The Digital and Social Media role is primarily accountable :

  • In conjunction with the Storyteller and Engagement Lead, develop and curate engaging content for social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and others as platforms develop).
  • Maintain unified brand awareness across the different social media channels.
  • Collaborate with Engagement and Design team to create a social media calendar that is led by the overall engagement calendar.
  • Interact with users and respond to social media messages, inquiries, and comments.
  • Monitor social media channels for industry trends.
  • Review analytics and create reports on key metrics.
  • Support the development of the SharePoint Based Intranet and ensure that it maintains the organisational brand. As such, SharePoint knowledge is essential.
  • Wordpress and / or coding knowledge is highly preferred.
  • Maintain the organisation, strategy, and Engagement and Design intranet pages.
  • Maintain the internet content for the organisation.
  • Oversee the SharePoint champions' within the organisation to ensure that service groups are able to maintain team pages without continued Engagement and Design team input.
  • Support the graphics designer with brand awareness and consistency
