What we are looking for :
We have an exciting opportunity for an amazing Chef to prepare tasty meals for DHB staff, based within the Auckland Hospital Café.
This is a Permanent Full-Time role, with the hours of work being Monday to Friday 11 : 00 - 19 : 30.
What will you be doing?
You will be responsible for preparing, cooking and serving quality menu items to the DHB staff.
You will be establishing and maintain quality control, and assisting with ordering and menu development.
In addition, you will be assisting in general kitchen and cleaning duties.
Providing cover for annual and sick leave (as and when required)
Our Perfect Candidate?
Will have experience with Asian Cuisine as a bonus
Will be hardworking, reliable with a friendly and positive attitude.
Will have experience working as a chef in a commercial kitchen.
Will hold a food safety certificates (Unit Standard 167 & 168) or be happy to train for one.
Will thrive under pressure and be a team player.
Will have knowledge of temperature procedures and can work to timeframes.
Will have superior customer service skills but most importantly will demonstrate a passion for great food, customer service and quality.
