    A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a compassionate andprofessional Registered / Enrolled nurse with mental health scope to join us!

    Te Whare Manaaki is a secure Forensic Mental Health unitthat forms part of Specialist Mental Health Services and the Regional ForensicMental Health Service.

    We provide specialist care to people who, due to mentalillness, has seriously offended or are assessed as high risk for seriousoffending.

    Priding ourselves on a sustained commitment to our tāngata whaiora (consumers), we believe inquality improvement and developing therapeutic, supportive and empoweringrelationships.

    Our mahi (work) is immensely rewarding which results in afulfilling and dynamic environment to both work and grow.

  • You will join a supportive and experienced team that strives to make a real difference in people s lives.
  • You will work in a fulfilling and yet dynamic environment with tangata whaiora consumers who have very complex challenges to face.
  • You will also get an opportunity to build long-term relationships with our and deliver a full and holistic range of nursing care.
  • Using analysis from data collection you will gain insight into the function of behaviour for our tāngata whaiora and how this informs our clinical interventions.

  • Be an enthusiastic Enrolled Nurse bringing a range of knowledge and skills in mental health nursing.
  • A drive to develop your professional practise
  • Be compassionate and caring and have a strong sense of curiosity about those you care for.
  • Have exceptional interpersonal communication skills and positive demeanour
  • Critical thinking, planning and adaptability to a constantly changing environment
  • Ability to work within the multi-disciplinary team, providing a clinical nursing perspective and managing task allocation and direction and delegation effectively.
