This is an exciting opportunity for an accomplished Property and Buildings leader to join our team as our Market Leader Property and Buildings, New Zealand / Pacific.

As a Market Leader you will have an immense opportunity to shape the way we do business. You will have ready access to over 1000 people to leverage into the NZ property and building sector from across NZ, Pacific and Australia.

Whilst also working with colleagues focussed on our other key GHD markets including Water, Environment, Transport, Digital and Advisory, which will allow you to leverage nearly 11,000 people globally.

This is a strategic influencing leadership role where you will provide the vision and direction for the Property and Buildings sector throughout New Zealand in accordance with GHD's New Zealand market strategy.

The key objective of this position is to increase top line growth, the depth of client relationships, expansion and improved portfolio mix.

You will be responsible for driving and implementing market strategy, business development and overseeing the delivery of projects to clients including Architecture, Interiors, and Building Engineering.

This will include developing new clients and deepening existing relationships, as well as leading major pursuits, tenders and the delivery of major projects as a project director and / or technical director.

The role :

  • A key influencing role working within an energetic and committed team of multidisciplinary professionals, driven to build meaningful client relationships to grow our market share
  • Ability to connect our people to the Property & Buildings market sector and build relationships across our business to maximise client outcomes, with a focus on client experience
  • Promote relationships with existing and potential clients. Increase business by improving client relationships and strengthening repeat business.
  • Expand client base by promoting GHD's services within the market sector

  • Coach and mentor staff to be advocates of our clients and owning the client experience
  • Improve success rates and market sector revenue for the region, together with management of significant Property and Buildings pursuits, proposals and / or projects
  • Monitor business development activities across the market sector against business plan actions and revenue targets
  • Be active in the external market place to profile GHD's capabilities in the region
  • Strong technical capability with an ability to 'roll up the sleeves' when needed
  • Motivated, passionate, mentor and strong builder of teams
  • Build and drive culture
