An exciting opportunity has arisen in our growing team for a highly motivated person who is looking to develop their retail career.

Day-to-day you will be dealing with and advising our customers on our extensive range of equestrian, country and pet ranges.

You will be part of a highly motivated and enthusiastic team dedicated to providing excellent customer service and ensuring our customers receive the best possible shopping experience whilst in our store.

Role & responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service, including :

  • Approaching and assisting customers;
  • Advising on a range of equestrian products;
  • Assisting with the fitting of safety equipment such as riding hats;
  • Working on the cash desk;
  • Going the extra mile to achieve sales whilst maintaining customer satisfaction and an excellent shopping experience.
  • Stock management, including :
  • Checking off inbound stock from suppliers;
  • Labelling stock with barcodes;
  • Stock counting;
  • Shop floor replenishment.
  • Web order picking,
  • Other retail duties, including :
  • Taking telephone calls;
  • Contacting suppliers;
  • Taking telephone orders from customers;
  • Cleaning;
  • Maintaining shop floor standards;
  • Maintaining back of house standards.

  • skills and qualifications

  • 3 or more GCSE’s at grade C (or equivalent);
  • Experience in the care of horses is advantageous but not essential.
  • Experience of horse riding is advantageous but not essential.
  • Experience in retail or other customer-facing role.
  • Equestrian-related qualifications is advantageous but not essential.
  • Experience in an equestrian discipline is advantageous but not essential.
