We have an amazing opportunity for a talented Product Owner to join our Customer Success Systems team, based in Wellington.

Who's the team? As a Product Owner with the Customer Success Systems team, part of Enterprise Technology, you will have an opportunity to work with an excellent delivery team and an inspiring tech stack.

Our main product is both external and internal customer facing covering the areas of support, community and learning. It offers opportunities to dive into enriching customer experience journeys, and makes the daily experience better for our customers and Xeros alike.

We are at the forefront of our use of best-in-class vendor technologies and we constantly build on our successful collaborations and partnerships.

We are continuously staying ahead of the innovation wave with our use of machine learning techniques, having won a number of innovation awards in this area three years running.

You will be responsible for executing the Customer System’s product vision, strategy and roadmap. You will work alongside a talented, collaborative and supportive engineering pod maintaining the standard for engineering excellence at Xero.

Your skillful product leadership and management of the pod’s backlog enables the pod to deliver compelling products and services that solve real problems for our customers.

What you'll do :

  • Work closely with the Enterprise Technology group to implement and execute effective fit for purpose software development practices.
  • Coach and manage delivery teams to facilitate and improve on a reliable delivery cadence.
  • Produce data to demonstrate and track the team’s performance.
  • Proactively identify and facilitate the removal of impediments, protecting the team from disruption and helping them honour commitments.
  • Ensure key collaboration and control ceremonies and processes are followed and carried out in an efficient manner.
  • Work closely with the Product Manager to set expectations for delivery, based on best understanding estimations.
  • Foster a culture of collective ownership and accountability for the work completed within the team.
  • Work closely with the Product Manager to ensure stakeholders are provided with the information they require in a timely manner.
  • Work with Competency Leads and Product Managers to manage resource and capability commitments.
  • Provide input to the wider team for capability performance, growth and learning.
  • Collaborative definition, management and scheduling of work with external teams, to unblock dependencies as required.
  • What you'll bring :

  • Demonstrated experience working with high performing Software Delivery Teams.
  • Project management experience, managing risk and stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of Agile planning, documentation, scheduling techniques and tools.
  • Experience with SaaS platforms and solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with data manipulation and modelling.
  • Experience with management reporting and data-warehousing.
  • Good technical understanding of integration / API interfaces, data and architecture concepts.
  • General experience with business workflows, data domains and enterprise concepts
  • Working with Architecture, Analysis and Delivery team to refine and manage scope and requirements.
  • Ability to interact with Senior Stakeholders to an Executive level.
  • Ability to comprehend and have an understanding of the wider teams portfolio of delivery and how you fit into that.
  • Proactive, can-do’ attitude, exceptionally self-motivated and directed.
  • Ability to work in a diverse, fast paced environment and effectively collaborate across international teams.
