We now have an opening for someone to join the Windows and Doors Export Team by taking on the role of Customer Service Export.

Reporting to the Export Operations Manager, you will be liaising with international customers and ensuring that their orders are processed accurately and efficiently.

Being a part of the wider Windows and Doors business unit team, you will be taking responsibility and accountability for correctly and precisely prepared export documents to ensure that export transactions are completed smoothly.

As a result, you will be a key player in the profitability and overall reputation of the Altus's products and systems. The role is based in Auckland.

Other responsibilities include :

  • Accurate processing customer orders into the SAP ERP system and then exporting them through to Prodoc, our in-house export documentation software.
  • Ensuring orders are despatched in line with the service offer
  • Liaison with customers and planning to resolve queries and provide progress updates
  • Ensuring freight and export documentation is completed accurately and on time
  • Providing detailed bank documents to meet customs / bank requirements
  • Processing pro forma invoices through to commercial invoices
  • Maintaining order shipping details
  • Liaison with suppliers regarding hardware orders to ensure they meet dispatch times.
  • About You

    The successful applicant will be someone who will have export experience in APAC region and have sound knowledge of shipping, customs and distribution processes.

    You will be confident in delivering high quality customer service, including having a sensitivity to cultures and languages.

    Alongside this, you will also have :

  • Customer-focused attitude with excellent people skills
  • Fluency in English is required and a second language such as French or a Pacific Region language would be preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communication
  • Ability to negotiate and liaise with freight forwarders / suppliers
  • Sound judgement and problem solving skills
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office, SAP experience is an advantage.
  • A high level of cultural sensitivity and awareness
  • The ability to project manage customer orders from the time they are placed to the time they are received by the customer.
  • Some of these orders can be large and complex and will require a significant attention to detail.
