Ngā Kōrero mo tēnei tūranga / About the role We are looking for a Senior Associate specialising in risk and controls to join our Financial Assurance team in Wellington.

We cover a wide range of disciplines, including financial statement audits, assurance engagements over other regulatory requirements, control assurance including information technology controls, and sustainability reporting assurance.

In this role you will work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include : Planning and conducting control assurance engagements across a range of industries, with a focus on the financial services industry.

Determining audit risks, developing our audit approach, supervising audit teams, reporting findings, and monitoring progress throughout engagements Coaching teams to recognise their strengths, and encourage them to take ownership of their personal development.

Analysing complex processes and providing meaningful recommendations to clients for continued improvement. Using multiple sources of information including broader stakeholder views to develop solutions and recommendations.

Managing a variety of viewpoints to build consensus and create positive outcomes for all parties. Preparing and submitting reports on the results of our work, including recommending improvements Ngā pūkenga kei a koe / Skills and experience 3-5 years of relevant work experience in Audit, ideally with a focus on Third Party Assurance engagements, although strong process and controls audit experience will also be considered.

Experience supporting / coaching teams in testing internal controls, planning and delivering the IT component of complex assurance engagements, and reviewing and directing controls testing plans.

Experience in any of the following : SAE 3100 compliance, SAE 3150 controls, ISAE 3000, ISAE 3402 controls, Sarbanes-Oxley, GS007, process improvement services.

Experience working in a professional services firm. Experience working on engagements within the financial services industry is preferred although not essential.
