  • MHSOA provides a comprehensive service to people over the age of 65 years who are experiencing mental health difficulties and / or cognitive decline, and operates within an integrated model of care alongside gerontology services for this population group.

    We are looking for a motivated, registered social worker to join a cohesive, multidisciplinary community team in providing assessment and treatment to service users and their family / whanau.

    Our approach is collaborative and our population is culturally diverse. This position would suit a social worker with the experience and skills to work with older people, often with complex needs, and provides the opportunity to increase and enhance clinical skills within an established and supportive work environment.

    We are committed to the continuing professional development of our team members and are keen to hear from enthusiastic and innovative social workers who share our passion for older adult mental health.

    A current practising certificate, full, clean drivers licence and 2 years post-qualification experience in mental health and / or community services are essential requirements for this post.

    The position is based at North Shore Hospital and social workers seeking part time positions are encouraged to apply.
