Working as part of skilled and highly motivated team, you will help to accelerate the growth of the organisation by delivering and improving key applications, systems and micro services using a modern DevSecOps methodology.
What does an average day look like?
No day is average at flexigroup but here’s an idea of what you can expect to do in this role and what you will be responsible for :
Creating reliable, transparent and measured software which incorporates best in class logging and telemetry
Developing and integrating supportable and maintainable Microservices
CI / CD Pipelines
Unit tests, Integration Tests
Infrastructure as Code : Terraform Modules, Ansible playbooks, Helm charts, Dockerfiles
Support and maintenance for the software we create
Documentation and support for others integrating with our systems
What are we looking for?

You’ll be expected to roll your sleeves up and really make things tangible. We are looking for people who make things happen, who see change as opportunity and who thrive in fast pace.
For this role you will also need to bring most of the following :
Excellent communications skills
Proactive, positive and willing to learn anything!
A desire to work as part of a team.
Comfortable with Git (i.e you know how rebase and squash work under the hood)
A working knowledge of security best practices, industry trends and an operational understanding of PKE, TLS
A good understanding of networking and DNS
Experience delivering microservice or sever-less architectures
Experienced in developing with one of the following .NET (C#), Java, Python, Go
Knowledge of asynchronous messaging patterns and tools such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, etc.
Experienced in building and deploying container images with Docker (or other runtimes)
Comfortable with integrating and working with OAuth / OIDC
Experienced with at least one CI / CD platform (Azure DevOps, Jenkins etc..)
Experienced developing working with and deploying on GNU / Linux
Familiar with configuration management and Deployment orchestration (e.g Ansible / Terraform, Helm charts )
Container Orchestration knowledge would be an advantage (Kubernetes, OpenShift, AKS / EKS )
Exceptional attention to detail combined with a methodical, system-based approach to thinking.
Experienced in the implementation of development and integration patterns. A strong desire follow good principles such as loose coupling, SOLID, 12 factor, etc.
Strong knowledge in at least one of the major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
