  • About the role

    As a Senior System Engineer you are responsible for operating Datacom’s technical infrastructure including corporate hardware and software as well as providing corporate systems for the Datacom Business.

    This role primarily performs Project support activities in our Production Environment, to internal staff, including responsibility for change management.

    The role is also likely to assist with BAU incidents and requests, particularly in BAU handover tasks, but also within distinct activities as the opportunities present themselves.

    The role would suit someone keen to take the next step in their career. We're after people who exude common sense and professionalism, are team players, have the ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision and who can demonstrate exceptional problem-solving abilities and a passion for learning.

    What you’ll bring

    You're someone who enjoys solving problems and who wants to be part of the wider Datacom machine, supporting users as a senior.

    Strong communication and customer service skills are key in this role.

  • All rounder on Microsoft products
  • Experience in managing Azure AD and O365
  • On premises Active Directory
  • Exchange and Exchange online understanding and experience
  • VPN and networking knowledge
  • Solid infrastructure knowledge and understanding
  • Strong understanding of backup technology and VM ware
  • Experience in managing hardware and software assets
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Intune / BigFix (desirable)
  • You will already reside in New Zealand and have appropriate visa status to work here.
