Te Kaiurungi About the Role

We drive continuous delivery of infrastructure as a service with cloud like characteristics, supporting the delivery of customer outcomes for BNZ platforms from a cross functional team.

You'll be delivering on demand, scalable services and embedding a culture of automation and infrastructure as code.

As Senior Technical Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical knowledge and skills in the areas of platform maintenance, application deployment and monitoring tools and systems.

Coupled with a high drive for inclusive teamwork and outcomes focus

You will also :

  • Investigate, identify, locate and resolve issues affecting customers on production and pre-production environments. Work individually, and with other team members and areas until successful problem resolution, escalation or handoff.
  • Support development teams at various stages of the SDLC process.
  • Provide technical assistance with deployment of Digital releases (incl. automation and support).

  • Container Kubernetes experience. Operational aspects desirable. AKS preferred but not essential
  • Experience working with RedHat Openshift
  • DevOps mindset, experience building, deploying, and maintaining cloud infrastructure (either Azure or AWS) through code-based tools.
  • 3+ years broad, practical, experience in an enterprise environment as a Senior Technical Specialist or DevOps Engineer.
  • Experience with Docker, Git, Jenkins (or other automation tooling).
  • Minimum of two years of experience satisfying security, compliance, and regulatory requirements via code-based guardrails.
  • Experience with event streaming (such as Kafka, AWS Kinesis or Azure Event Hub)
  • Experience with migration of workloads from on-prem hardware to public cloud
  • Ability to multitask, manage priorities and enjoy working in an Agile workplace using hybrid Agile methodologies.
  • A curious mindset that challenges the status quo and drives toward outcomes
  • What else do you know?

  • Experience working in an agile methodology (SCRUM, KANBAN, etc).
  • Financial Services Sector experience including information and cyber security.
