    Are you the support worker we are looking for? Someone who is passionate about supporting people on their recovery journeys? If so, then keep reading.

    We have a full-time role available based in Papakura, Auckland. You will be working Friday Monday, 3pm 11 : 30pm.

    You’ll be reporting to the Team Coach and supporting people with experience of mental health to live well in the community whilst providing support to people to achieve their goals towards independence.

    You might be supporting people with budgeting and independent daily living skills or attending appointments and advocating for people.

    You might be assisting people to connect with their communities. You’ll need to be prepared to support our clients to do whatever it takes.

    The Team

    You’ll be reporting to the Team Coach and joining our Pathways Community Support, working in a team of Support Workers all with a common purpose to support people experiencing mental distress.

    This is a key role, supporting our tangata whaiora to have meaningful engagement in their lives.

    We are looking for someone with more than 2 years experience as a support worker, someone who will quickly establish a great rapport with team members and be skilled at working autonomously.

    You will have a good knowledge of the community and be able to form great relationships with people, their whanau, other providers, and clinicians.

    You will be supporting people to access budgeting and community activities. You will also provide support with cleaning, cooking, gardening, personal care and everyday household maintenance tasks in a recovery focused way.

  • You will also;
  • Hold a current full drivers licence
  • Hold a current first aid certificate or be willing to obtain one
  • Applicants must hold the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or a recognised equivalent, or currently working towards it.
  • Alternatively, you will commence study towards this within six months of starting your employment with Pathways. This needs to be completed within two years of commencement.
