About the role :

We're currently seeking an experienced and proactive Senior HR Consultant that can hit the ground running to join our People and Culture team on a 12-month fixed term basis, covering maternity leave.

Our HR Shared Service team centrally support the wider business providing generalist HR advice, support and guidance across all facets of HR.

This maternity cover will see you specifically working with Auckland based Executives and their teams in both a strategic and operational capacity.

Responsibilities :

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of HR strategies, initiatives and frameworks.
  • Support Genesis People Leaders with cyclical HR processes, including performance reviews and remuneration reviews.
  • Provide advice and guidance to Business Unit People Leaders in relation to recruitment and selection, performance management, Employment Relations and Industrial Relations.
  • Provide advice and coaching to support our people leaders in achieving relevant objectives and strategic goals.
  • Assist with the development and the roll out of People and Culture projects.
  • About you :

    This role will see you play a key role in the wider People & Culture team, contributing to our positive, high performing and fun culture.

    You will need a sound working knowledge of NZ employment related legislation and what it means to be a good employer. You must have excellent relationship building, interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).

    Your sound judgement and strong attention to detail will be key. Genesis is looking for someone who is approachable, measured and has an inclusive style in the way that they work while upholding sound strategic and commercial acumen.

    You will also have the following skills and experience :

  • At least 8 years' experience in an HR business partnering role within a commercial environment.
  • Proven experience partnering and advising at all levels, across all HR disciplines.
  • A degree qualification in Human Resource or related discipline.
