About the Role :

This full-time permanent position drives the productinnovation and technical support for our bakeries nationally. This role identifiesand implements new ingredients, processes and technologies to meet the changingneeds of consumers.

Your not in it alone, this role also has a product developmenttechnologist reporting in and reports into the GM of Marketing and Innovationworking closely with the Marketing and Operations team to develop products thatKiwis enjoy every day.

Key accountabilities ofthis position include :

  • Develop new products from conceptthrough to commercialisation using our innovation process and relevant systemsand tools
  • Renovate current products to ensurethey remain relevant and competitive
  • Buildstrong internal and external relationships to drive the innovation agendathrough identifying and implementing solutions to opportunities.
  • To deliver continuousimprovement through collaborative approaches with wider business units
  • Be thetechnical expert on all things bakery
  • Coach, leadand development of a Product Development Technologist.
  • About You :

  • 5 10 year's bakery industry experience.
  • Tertiary qualification in Food Technology or relevant qualification inBaking
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage projects independently and achieve results
  • Good organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manageworkload
  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing facility (bakery desirable)
  • Comfortable working with cross functional teams and independently.
  • Available and able to work in New Zealand
