This position plays a core role in the software delivery process for the Product team. The purpose of this position is to ensure all Mobile Solutions released reaches the quality standard required by the company.
The Test Engineer also plays a role with implementation and maintainance of our test automation suite.You will be required to respond to occasional requests for additional off-hour work in the event of an emergency client incident or critical business need.
As a Senior Test Engineer, you can look forward to : A hardworking, fun working environment if you are ready to be challenged to deliver client projects as well as climb your way up the table tennis ladder!Basic qualifications for consideration : 6+ years’ experience in software testing preferably strong background in Native iOS and Android applications3+ years’ experience working in Agile / Scrum environment using Rapid software testing techniques2+ years practical knowledge in test automation framework and tools preferably Native iOS and Android (Espresso and XCTest).
Proficiency in API testing principles and tools such as Postman, Soap UI or similarExperience in building automation framework a plusLeadership / mentoring role a plusAdvanced testing or Agile certifications eg.
ISTQB, CSMTertiary qualification in Information Technology or Computer Sciences.Nice to have : Financial services domain experienceTest automation experienceTest leadershipLarge scale enterprise performance + security testingKey Responsibilities : Quality Assurance Delivery : Undertake manual and automated testing of Mobile Solutions software releases.
Understand the system architecture, release and environment management, and contribute towards quality initiatives and overall process improvements.
Deliver and review advanced test strategies, plans and test case designs that meet the breadth and scope of the test cases.
Accurately track, report and assemble metrics on test status.Deliver advanced test case design and review that meets the breadth and scope of tests cases.
Technical Decisions : As required, assume the role of principal QA on projects. Review and comprehend project requirement, both functional and non-functional.
Contributes, understands and adheres to Mobile Solution Quality Strategy and processes as an integral part of the project delivery.
Accurately track, report and assemble metrics on test status.Technical Issues & Risks : Manage defect process including defect validation.
Proactively identify and manage risks to projects from a QA perspective. Accurately detail defects so that they can be reproduced and efficiently addressed.
Plans for contingencies to respond to potential but unlikely events.Troubleshoot and diagnose root causes of defects, as required collaborate with others.
Task Management & Completion : Create tasks based on technical specifications and give accurate estimates. Prioritise tasks based on importance and urgency, complete tasks.
Remain focused on long-term goals when executing against short-term objectives.Create tasks for self and team based on technical specifications, give accurate work, and task estimates.
Problem Solving : Proactively identify the root cause of problems; identify and implement solutions to these.Solve problems in a manner which is re-usable and applicable across multiple projects.
Troubleshoot and resolve application issues relating to solutions.Stakeholder Communication & Management : Strive to exceed the expectations of time and resource requirements using clear logical communication.
Manage multiple, often conflicting, priorities across multiple customer activities.Attend client meetings, requirements gathering and provide technical consultancy.
Documentation : Develop and maintain standard QA and Test documents to form an integral part of the delivery methodology.
Create high quality documentation that meets the needs and expectations of stakeholders.Contribute to the continuous improvement of reference material by proactively filling gaps, correcting mistakes and resolving ambiguity.
