We are now seeking a passionate Bike enthusiast / Bike Mechanic with leadership skills and experience to manage our Bike Hub site.

Torpedo7 is the place to come for knowledgeable and credible Bike services and advice - we now have the opportunity to shape our customer's experience by opening a specialist Bike services hub for us to meet their needs! This is a closed worksite, and you will be required to manage staff workflow and productivity in a store support situation.
Reporting to the Services Manager your key responsibility is to oversee the team members and operations of the Central Build Hub servicing bike builds for the Auckland store network. This will be by;
Using your excellent technical knowledge of bikes and the industry to work unsupervised whilst also being able to keep your cool in stressful situations.
Displaying sound leadership to your team of 10 direct reports (2IC, Bike Builders, Driver and a Stock Controller).
Managing workflow and directing team members within the Hub to ensure that they work to their best efficiency, and produce bike builds to the highest safety standard in a timely manner.
Working closely with our Services team to develop your bike builders team in Hub into future bike mechanics for the Torpedo7 group.
Training team members in the Hub as well as from across the store network.
Manage any commercial builds to ensure they are delivered to Torpedo7 standards and within the agreed timeline.
Ensure administrative procedures in the workshop are completed in accordance with company policy and procedure.
Ideally you will have :
Excellent technical knowledge of bikes and an obvious passion for bikes and the industry.
Knowledge of technical and non-technical aspects of various bike brands that we sell.
Management and organisational experience, or experience running a team will also be essential.
A keen eye for detail and great organisational skills.
Ability and passion for training and managing others.
A minimum of one year experience working in a bike workshop
Strong sense of customer service.
Strong sense of bike safety awareness.
