From treatment plants to major wastewater pipes, we are planning and delivering capital works and are expanding our infrastructure to cater for a fast-growing population.

Reflecting the continued growth of our internal capability, an opportunity is available for a talented and commercially savvy engineer to join our Contracts and Cost Intelligence team.

With an ever growing forward work programme, you will play a key role in delivering significant water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

You will be joining an engaged, close-knit and motivated team, with a passion for success and a track record of delivering best value projects for Watercare.

This role offers exposure to a wide variety of major Auckland infrastructure projects under Enterprise Model such as North Harbour 2 Watermain, Western Isthmus Water Quality Improvements, North and South West Servicing and many other projects that will significantly enhance our networks and ensure we're better tomorrow than we are today.

Ideally, you'll have experience working in the water industry (either as a consultant, contractor or client) and come from a background of engineering or construction procurement.

We also recognise and value broader skill and knowledge such as that gained from commercial and business backgrounds. To be successful in this role you will demonstrate :

  • You will be responsible for the development of procurement plans, facilitating Price validation, evaluation and negotiation processes for the design and construction services for infrastructure projects predominately under the Enterprise Model.

    Previous experience in similar roles would give you a head start, but we're willing to fully train you if you have the right core skills and attitude. In return, we offer :
