Not only do we get to care for fabulous women and families from across our diverse region, we also get to work alongside kind, compassionate, dedicated midwives and other health professionals to provide a safe and positive birthing experience.

Each year we birth around 1,800 babies and work closely with the midwifery and medical schools to give the kind of care our patients deserve.

About the Role

Our Administration Officers play a key role in ensuring the delivery of excellent care for our mother’s and babies from the moment they set foot onto the ward.

Your role will involve (but is not limited to) :

Ensure the smooth running of administration processes

Be a welcoming face on the reception desk greeting all visitors in a friendly and professional manner

Checking in patients arriving for appointments

Database maintenance

Booking appointments and diary management

Ensuring that all patient’s medical records are available and prepared for outpatient clinics

Supporting the Charge Midwife Manager with administration tasks as required

Due to the 24 / 7 nature of our service, our administration staff work standard office hours across a 7 day (Monday Sunday) roster.

The reception desk is open from 0800-2030 Monday to Friday and 0800-1630 OR 0900-1430 on a Saturday and Sunday, so the ability to work evening and weekend shifts is essential for this role.

About You

This is a varied and rewarding role which would suit someone who enjoys interaction with people from a wide range of backgrounds and who doesn’t get flustered during busy times.

The administration team is friendly and supportive and works with a very team-focused approach.

Ideally you will need to bring the following :

Previous experience in an administration or reception role

Excellent computer skills, particularly in the Microsoft Office suite; Word, Excel, Outlook (email)

A positive attitude and team-focused approach to your work

Resilience and the ability to successfully prioritise and manage a busy and varied workload

A personable style and the ability to easily build rapport with people from all walks of life

The salary for this position is $48,220 - $51,240 pro rata per annum depending on skills and experience.
