Corporate Finance team works with a range of clients across various industries helping them to achieve their strategic goals and to make informed decisions The overall purpose of this role is to work with leaders and staff principally within the Corporate Finance team to deliver high quality valuation strategic and financial advisory solutions for clients ranging from medium sized businesses through to high profile corporate clients and public sector entities You will be responsible for providing high quality practical business advisory services and will have a high level of direct client contact We rsquo re seeking a talented Manager or Associate Director who has strong valuations modelling and strategic advice experience You will oversee and assist analysts to complete jobs within the Corporate Finance team in Auckland As a Corporate Finance Manager or Associate Director you will play a strategic role in helping PwC s Corporate Finance team achieve its growth objectives We are looking for talent across New Zealand with great opportunities in Auckland and Christchurch Role key responsibilities Take a lead role in assessing the value of businesses intangible assets and options Take a lead role on engagements to build or review financial models Proactively develop knowledge through appropriate research keeping current with firm rsquo s technical and industry guidance training and interactions with internal PwC specialists Identify and develop technical solutions to client industry issues utilising your experience as well as using pre existing materials such as methodologies or previous engagement Proactively identify areas for technical skill or capability development and suitable internal training courses Coaching and developing junior staff From time to time you may also Present training courses to internal and or client teams Assist with litigation support and value based disputes work Produce or manage the production of PwC research and publications What you rsquo ll need to bring to the role You rsquo ll have a commercial analytical focus experience with advising clients strong organisational and project management skills You rsquo re self motivated confident and proactive with strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills You will also have a team focussed style with experience in mentoring and inspiring team members We are looking for talented individuals with the following The most important aspect is relevant valuation experience You require more than four years rsquo experience in a directly relevant field ideally five to eight years rsquo experience Typically for this role you would have a tertiary qualification in finance or in another discipline along with the CFA designation However economics accounting mathematics statistics law and engineering or other applicable fields are all of interest Excellent written skills and prior experience producing high quality reports Advanced user of MS Excel plus capable with MS Power Point MS Office and the Google Suite Experience in Tableau Alteryx and Power BI is desirable but not a pre requisite Financial statement analysis experience Strong
