  • We are looking for an admin superstar, to join our existing Patient Administration Coordinator team at the Patient Service Centre, Auckland District Health Board

    About our department

    Our Patient Service Centre (PSC) unit provides administration support to the clinical departments, by managing their external referrals, outpatient clinics, receptions, surgical procedures and follow-up appointments.

    We are a large team and collectively make about 850,000 outpatient appointments and over 300,000 surgical bookings per year.

    About the role

    In this role, you will be working for the paediatric surgical booking side of PSC. We’re a large, enthusiastic and friendly bunch with a great team culture and can do attitude.

    Arranging surgical procedures for the medical specialities services, your new role plays a pivotal part in a patient’s surgical journey.

    The role is fast paced and requires proven administration experience, high levels of attention to detail and most importantly strong technical computer skills. You will :

  • Work closely with the service managers, clinical leads and other internal departments, adhering to ministry of health requirements
  • Be using electronic system applications and waiting list reports to book our patients in their required time frame
  • Be a point of contact to our patients, displaying empathy and cultural competence
  • In order to deliver the highest quality, customer service to our valuable patients. You will need to have the right attitude. You will also need :

  • To have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, to deliver a patient focused booking
  • To display resilience and flexibility. Keeping up with today’s forever changing environment (Covid-19) can be a challenge!
  • To be a fast learner, great multitasker and be able to think on your feet
  • To have a great sense of humour to be a good team fit
