Knowledge Services, as part of the wider Regulation team, work with the front-line regulatory teams taking responsibility for providing quality analysis, advice and help to identify and prioritise market risk.
We have a position available for a Principal Data Engineer, Intelligence and Analytics (IA) to join this team as the technical expert.
With this role reporting into the Head of Knowledge Services, you will be responsible for setting the best data practices, frameworks, and guidelines to deliver multiple projects and IA initiatives from across the team and the FMA.
This is a hands-on role that involves both contributing to the day to day data engineering tasks as well as setting the direction for building a reliable and agile data environment to support the intelligence and analytics space.
It includes regular engagement with key stakeholders (internal and external), while providing expert and technical input into wider FMA projects.
You will have a key role in improving data governance and management in the IA space. You are experienced in designing and building full stack data environments used for intelligence and analytics.
You are experienced in identifying business needs and translating them to sustainable data solutions. You are proactive in working with both implicit and explicit requirements and are a resilient problem solver.
You can translate complex concepts and bring people along. You can patiently create change with the intention to involve and grow the teams around you.
You can lead by example and roll your sleeves up when needed. You will bring deep technical expertise in using and deploying MS SQL Server / Microsoft Azure, MS Power BI.
