We’re currently seeking an experienced ETL Developer for a contract opportunity through to the end of the year. This role will work closely with multi-

disciplinary teams of analysts and IT architects across the business to deliver outputs for a large scale Data Transformation project.

The role will involve contributing to the business teams to optimise the use of the new EPIC technologies. It will enable the establishment and maintenance of end user software development best practice and implementation standards for the R and Pentaho code being created.

Key functions of the role are :

  • Using Pentaho develop / design ETL work packages, mappings, data transformations, scheduling and testing
  • Translate data movement requirements into technical ETL design
  • Determine impacts to dimension modelling structures and information flows due to changes in business or technical requirements
  • Contribute to architectural decisions to support business processes
  • Provide production support for data solutions
  • Complete root cause analysis and contribute to remediation planning and implementation
  • Perform data quality analysis, report data quality issues and propose solutions for data quality management
  • Key Experience Required :

  • Strong SQL capabilities to develop ETL workflows and mappings to extract, transform, and load data into target environments
  • SAS and R experience
  • Tertiary degree in Information Technology or other related field
  • Significant practical experience in analysis, design and development of both IT and business end user computing is essential.
  • Sound experience working with Service-Oriented Architectures (SOAs)
  • Extensive project experience as a technical developer and contributor.
  • Experience working in an Agile software development and support environment.
  • Proven ability to deliver project outcomes on time in pressured situations.
  • Knowledge of and experience in working with the Enterprise Processing Integrated Capabilities (EPIC) Platform is highly advantageous.
