About our role

We are seeking a candidate with Nissan GTR and / or Leaf Automotive Technician experience. This role will see you work Monday to Friday 8 : 00am to 4 : 30pm with rostered Saturdays 8 : 00am to 12 : 00pm at our Nissan workshop in Glenfield, Auckland.

As a Nissan GTR and / or Leaf Automotive Technician, you are, above all, responsible for performing all kinds of service operations (inspections), defined assembly operations, and maintenance repairs to customer and company vehicles with the highest level of quality and efficiency.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Ensure that all servicing and repairs follow specifications and standards
  • Support and contribute to the effective operations of the workshop
  • Utilise skills and knowledge to diagnose problems with a range of vehicles
  • Engines rebuild and overhauling
  • Gearboxes rebuild and overhauling
  • Electrical and ECU fault finding and repairs
  • Wiring rebuilds and fault finding
  • Nissan GTR Engine and gearbox removal and installation
  • Nissan GTR Gearbox rebuild and upgrades
  • Wet Dual Clutch basket and AWD Clutch basket rebuild and upgrades.
  • High performance Braking system upgrades and maintenance (Inc. Carbon Ceramic)
  • Assist with Apprentice training and teaching of skills
  • Customer / Client relations building
  • Attention to detail
  • Skills & Experience requirements

  • A current clean full Driver's Licence
  • New Zealand National Certificate in Automotive Electrical and Mechanical Engineering certified or relevant International Automotive Trade Qualifications
  • Proven franchise experience working with Nissan motor vehicles
  • 5+ years’ experience in repairing, servicing, and maintenance of motor vehicles
  • Nissan GTR and / or Leaf qualification and experience is a must!
  • Friendly communicator with good oral and written English language skills and a high level of personal integrity.

  • Overtime rate will be paid at your normal hourly rate.
  • This is permanent, full-time role offering a 40-hour minimum work week.
