The Addictions Group works to ensure mental health and addiction services are strong, sustainable and safe for all New Zealanders.
Our focus is on delivering on He Ara Oranga The Inquiry response priority programmes. We are seeking a Senior Portfolio Manager to join the Addiction Group to support the delivery of priority work programmes to enable a health based approach to alcohol and drugs and to prevent and minimise gambling harm.
Please note that due to the changes to the health and disability system, a number of positions in the Ministry of Health are being transferred to interim agencies, and it is possible that this position may move to a different agency in the future.
Te whainga poto o tēnei tūranga What is the purpose of this position? :
In this role you will provide high quality contract and relationship management, ensuring robust monitoring processes and supporting providers to deliver high quality addiction services.
A key area of focus will be developing, implementing and monitoring services to achieve equitable access and outcomes. You will also work with key partners to provide advice that informs the implementation and delivery of broader programmes, and contribute to and / or lead work on machinery of government as required.
