About the Role
Reporting to the Distribution Centre Manager for Stanley Black & Decker NZ, t his position is responsible for the management of the Inbound Department within the DC .
It is the focal point for supply chain activities and is accountable for the management and control of the inward logistics functions.
Ultimately, this role aims to ensure the quality and reliability of goods supplied is in place within optimal time frames and budgets
Main Responsibilities
Responsible for the day to day supervision of the Inbound function.
Responsible for achieving maximum cost-effective productivity through effective planning & deployment of resource (staff (permanent and temporary) & equipment within the area of responsibility.
Manage workload to satisfy customer orders and other operational requirements, through effective planning, whilst considering other areas of the business.
Ensure that all customer orders are processed to meet delivery requirements & report any potential shortfalls.
Employ the most cost-effective method of operation, considering headcount and workload planning against overtime hours.
Reports possible procedural improvements to the Distribution Centre Manager.
Providing a hands on’ approach to ensure the operation achieves its goals while successfully ensuring a high level of effective departmental planning and people management.
To implement, manage and maintain all set K.P.I. including managing underperforming members of the team.

Ability to understand and analyse data.
Experience of working in a fast pace DC environment
Understanding of Health and Safety practices within the DC
AP and TFO certification would be beneficial
