About Rocket Lab

Rocket Lab is the global leader in small satellite launch. Our mission is to open access to space to improve life on Earth.

There are endless possibilities for what we can achieve with better access to space, and that access is now a reality thanks to Rocket Lab.

Collaboration is at our core - every idea is heard, and everyone makes a difference. Teams are nimble, decisions are made quickly, and we are action oriented.

While other companies talk about it, we do it!

About the role

Although Rocket Lab is in the business of launching rockets and satellites, we sure do spend a lot of time on the ground.

Like any modern business, everything we do is driven by software software in the factory, software in the test facilities, software in mission control, software crunching the numbers, software running the business and a lot of it is developed in-house.

It allows us to stay ahead of the curve and is a key differentiator.

The Director of Terrestrial Software will ensure these software systems deliver best value to the business by providing vision and technical leadership to the software teams, and continuous coordination between the various stakeholders in production, engineering, flight operations and business administration.

You will ensure that best-practice software development processes are followed to provide effective delivery of quality products.
