  • Fixed term, full time position for two years
  • Te Piki Oranga is a kaupapa Māori primaryhealth provider delivering wellness services across Te Tau Ihu, working in aWhānau Ora framework and Te Ao Māori’.

    Te Piki Oranga continues toexperience growth in all areas of the organisation since its establishment in2014. This is a new position that is being created to support theTumuaki / General Manager and management team with service delivery across its 3regional hubs in Motueka, Nelson and Blenheim.

    We are looking for anexperienced service operations manager with effective leadership skills.

    Your key responsibilities :

  • Support the Tumuaki / GeneralManager with strategy and service development
  • Ensure Te Piki Oranga hasthe service infrastructure needed to conduct its business
  • All statutory and fundersreporting requirements are met
  • Effective leadershipensuring that kaimahi meet professional health and social service standards,and accreditation standards are in place
  • Review workforcedevelopment and actively monitor the implementation of the WorkforceDevelopment Plan.
  • The successful candidatewill need to have proven experience in the following :

  • Demonstrated leadershipsuccess in an operational management role
  • Relationship management
  • Sound knowledge of NZhealth sector
  • Experience in evaluatingstrategies to ensure effective outcomes
  • Excellent communication andengagement skills
  • Implementation of Māoricultural practices in service delivery
  • Experience with contractmanagement.
  • The preferred candidatewill have a relevant qualification with proven management and leadership skillsin managing the service delivery of a health / wellness service.

    Anunderstanding of the impacts of health inequalities, a working knowledge of TeReo and an appreciation of Te Ao Māori.

    The position is full timefor a fixed term of 2 years, and will be based in the Richmond office.
