New Plymouth District Council is looking for a Behaviour Change Lead for our Resource Recovery team that will lead a team of Waste Minimisation Officers.
The work programme will be busy as the team provides education and advocacy on matters of waste minimisation in the New Plymouth District through implementation of the district’s behaviour change programmes.
You will be future focused and be the key driver for engaging with the community and developing and implementing behaviour change programmes in businesses, industries, communities and schools.
Working alongside our operations team to align services with community engagement tools and developing our stakeholder engagement plan will be a key focus of this role.
The ideal candidate will have :
You will have a tertiary qualification in education, waste minimisation, behaviour change, sociology or environmental management.
Project management skills and prior experience in community engagement is a definite advantage. There will be a requirement to work outside of normal business hours from time to time.
